OMV has completed the sale of OMV Slovenia to MOL Group, including the firm’s filling stations and its wholesale business.
This divestment supports the company’s journey of transformation to become a sustainable and net-zero emissions company by 2050. OMV’s fuel retail network in the country consists of 120 service stations.
The initial purchase price received at closing amounts to €311 m for the 92.25% stake.
OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries and intends to transition from an integrated oil, gas, and chemicals company to become a leading provider of innovative and sustainable fuels, chemicals, and materials. By switching over to a low-carbon business, the firm aims to achieve net zero by 2050.
